SPCA manager retires

Charlotte Levin, manager of the Sandton SPCA is widely considered a local touchstone of knowledge when it comes to animals and animal welfare.

Candice Scorer of the Sandton SPCA writes:

Her passion for animals is evident in her humility and absolute devotion to the cause, not only for domestic animals but also wild animals – in particular her garden birds, which she dotes on daily.

Charlotte will be taking an early retirement on 30 September after 30 years of service, and it is with great admiration and respect that she leaves the Sandton SPCA family.

Charlotte’s impact and contribution of going above and beyond the call of duty on a daily basis will remain part of the history of the organisation. Her staff and loyal supporters of the Sandton SPCA will always champion the legacy that she leaves behind.

Candice Scorer, current PRO and fundraiser will be stepping in as acting general manager from 1 October.
