BRAMLEY - Police arrested two suspects in possession of car which was reported hijacked in Garankuwa, Pretoria.

Bramley police arrested two suspects in possession of a car which was reported hijacked in Garankuwa, Pretoria.

According to police they were on a stop and search routine patrol when they stopped a car with two occupants in 9th Road, Kew.

Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela said when the police checked the car’s details they found out it had been reported hijacked.

Maphakela said the two suspects were arrested. “The suspects aged 40 and 48 were detained immediately,” he said.

He said upon further investigation the police also found out that there was already a warrant of arrest for the 40-year-old man.

They appeared at Alexandra Magistrate’s Court. They will remain in police custody as the court refused them bail.
