Weekend recap: Red Bull Showrun dazzles while SPAR Women’s Challenge shines bright

Johannesburg was bustling with excitement as the Red Bull Showrun electrified Sandton and runners celebrated their passion at the SPAR Women’s Challenge.

The Red Bull Showrun took centre stage in Sandton on Sunday, as motorsport fans were treated to an adrenaline-filled display featuring David Coulthard racing the iconic Red Bull F1 car through the streets of Johannesburg.

Meanwhile, the SPAR Women’s Challenge made waves across Northcliff and Rosebank, with Glenrose Xaba striking gold with a winning time of 00:32:48 minutes. The event lured nearly 10 000 enthusiastic participants, creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with colour and excitement.

Also celebrated this weekend was the St John’s College Tutu Walk in Rosebank, honouring the impactful legacy of Archbishop Desmond Tutu and bringing the community together.
