Influential South African women celebrated at launch in Sandton

The Clarins launch event spotlighted nine influential South African women, known as the Power Nine, including Carol Bouwer and Rachel Kolisi.

Clarins celebrated the launch of its latest innovation, Double Serum 9, with an engaging pop-up event at Sandton City’s Central Court.

The event, which kicked off on September 18, honoured nine influential South African women, known as ‘the Power Nine,’ including Carol Bouwer, Amanda Dambuza, Rachel Kolisi, Lesego Mpyane, Deborah Chambers, Ntandoyenkosi Kunene, Thameenah, Gugu Xaba, and Celeste Khumalo.

Nthabiseng Makhoka, Clarins’ communications specialist, explained that these women were chosen for their embodiment of strength and future-forward thinking, mirroring the serum’s mission to improve the future of skincare.

The event also featured makeup masterclasses, and self-care sessions emphasising Clarins’ commitment to sustainability and community support.

Notably, a portion of each purchase will benefit Save the Children, with additional support for their initiatives through Clarins’ partnership with the Red Movement.

Makhoka expressed excitement about the association with these impactful organisations.

“Our collaboration with Lesego Mpyane and Gugu Xaba, in support of sustainable sanitary products and early childhood development, is something we are extremely passionate about.”
