WATCH: ‘Ring the bell: I’m ready to learn!’

Bryanston Parallel Medium School starts the new academic year with a new tradition.

The first day of school can be a nerve-racking anxiety overdose for parents and first-time pupils. The learners of Bryanston Parallel Medium School (BPMS) in Sandton hit the ground running at a sprint, arriving in their uniforms on January 16 to start the new year.

BPMS inaugurated a new tradition at the end of 2023 where every learner from the outgoing Grade 7 class rang the bell built into the school’s quad. This year’s Grade 1 learners were the first to ring the bell on their first day, signalling their arrival to the prestigious halls of education.
