Standard Bank Joy of Jazz weekend to affect Sandton roads
The road closures and changes will be in effect on Friday and Saturday from 14:00–00:00.
Sandton Road Closures during 2023 Standard Bank Joy of Jazz weekend.
Motorists and other road users are advised of temporary changes to the normal traffic flows on roads closest to the Sandton Convention Centre during the 2023 Standard Bank Joy of Jazz which takes place on September 29 and 30.
- Maude Street – will be converted into one-way traffic from 5th Street to West Street.
- West Street – the lanes closest to the Convention Centre will be closed. The lanes furthest away will be dual carriage open for traffic.
- Alice Lane – the lanes closest to the Convention Centre will be closed. The lanes furthest away will be dual carriage open for traffic.
These road closures and changes will be in effect on Friday and Saturday from 14:00–00:00.
Festivalgoers
- Computicket will be on-site for verification and sales from 17:00–21:00.
- There will be full bars on level 0 food court, Mbira stage level -2 and level 5 bar counter.
- There will be a food court on Maude Street loading bay with various menus on offer at the SCC.
Ablution facilities
- SCC has toilets which can accommodate 5 000 guests.
Smoking
No smoking is permitted inside the SCC. Patrons can exit the venue and smoke in Maude Street and level 2 designated smoking area.
Cashless ( howler top-up points will be on level 0 inside the food court, level -2 (Mbira stage) and level 5 outside (Dinaledi stage)
