Empact Group Celebrates Women’s Day with an Artistic Unmasking Event

By supporting the foundation’s primary prevention interventions and gender-equitable education programs, Empact Group actively works towards eliminating gender-based violence and promoting a safer society.

Sandton-based company Empact Group once again displayed their commitment to promoting gender equality and responsible corporate practice when they held remarkable Women’s Day events at their offices in Cape Town and Johannesburg.

The events, themed “Woman You are Art. Unmask Your True Beauty”, celebrated the beauty and strength of women and took place in collaboration with Artist Proof Studios (APS) and Tears Foundation.

The Women’s Day celebrations focused on the power of art to inspire and empower the women of Empact Group.

Artist Proof Studio showcased the talented artists’ work, using storytelling as a medium to ignite creativity and motivation among Empact’s female staff. Attendees were encouraged to participate in canvas painting as a way to unite through art and express their individual or collective experiences.

Empact Group also teamed up with Tears Foundation, a non-profit and public benefit organization dedicated to combating domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse through innovative technological solutions. The partnership aims to provide access to crucial crisis intervention, advocacy, counselling, and prevention education services for those affected by gender-based violence.

Alan Quinn, CEO of Empact Group, expressed his enthusiasm about the events, “We are delighted to celebrate Women’s Day by recognising the artistic beauty of every woman within our organisation.”

He added that these events serve as a symbolic unmasking, encouraging their Empactors to shed the inhibitions and fears that hold them back and embrace their true beauty and prominence.

“We are committed to empowering our female staff and fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.”

The Artistic Unmasking events saw attendees dressing in colourful outfits as artistic expressions of themselves, but also wearing masks symbolising the barriers they aim to overcome in their personal and professional lives. The celebrations included an enthralling performance by an inspirational poet.
