Joy of Jazz returns to Sandton
Hundreds of jazz music lovers united for an unforgettable night at this year’s edition of the Joy of Jazz music festival at the Sandton Convention Centre.
Hundreds of jazz music lovers recently flocked to Sandton as the continents best performers took to the stage at Joy of Jazz.

The 23rd instalment of the two-day festival brought the Sandton Convention Centre to life.

More than 30 acts performed across three stages, providing the ultimate jazz experience for attendees.

According to festival producer Mantwa Chinoamadi, after a two-year hiatus, it was important to give festivalgoers an experience that they would never forget all in the name of celebrating local jazz music.

“The industry has been under severe strain for the past two years. We’ve chosen to use this year’s festival as a catalytic investment in the recovery of local talent.”

This was done through an expo, open to both concert and non-concert goers, with over 100 exhibitors.

“Joy of Jazz has also been a central platform for the development of jazz talent over the past 23 years. As we rebuild from the hiatus of the pandemic, we thought it prudent to prioritise local music and talent.”
