A first of its kind, Jason Goliath hits Sandton with motivational one-man stand-up

Jason Goliath’s one-man stand-up motivational comedy show Dala What You Must, It Is What It Is brings the laughter to Sandton’s Theatre On The Square.

Jason Goliath has brought laughter to the Theatre On The Square with his one-man comedy special Dala What You Must, It Is What It Is.

The show, which opened at the theatre on November 15, is inspired by the most important word that Goliath grasped during the lockdown, acceptance.

It also includes unfiltered, never-before-heard anecdotes about his life, his journey, uncomfortable truths and how he learnt to dala (do) what he had to do to persevere.

According to Goliath, the Theatre On The Square holds a special place in his heart due to its rich comedic history.

“Sandton Theatre On The Square is perfect for comedy, the number of seats is a golden number and I think that also because it is in Sandton, you feel like you are going somewhere nice. Madiba is basically coming to see you perform, I love that space.”

He added that this time around audiences could experience a unique experience because it was motivational comedy.

“I think I have always tried to add a little bit of inspiration in some of my shows but it has never been this intentional and it has never been more important to me.

“I also think that it has never been more important for my audiences, I think that everyone has been through a lot, dealing with a lot, and I think that this show brings relief in many forms.”

Dala What You Must, It Is What It Is runs at the Theatre On The Square until November 27. Tickets can be purchased from Computicket.
