In Tweets: Sandton Central comes alive as Joburg Pride takes over

Joburg Pride brought all the colour, good vibes and music to Sandton as members of the LGBTQIA+ community celebrated advocacy, activism and equality.

Hundreds of LGBTQIA+ members and allies came together in Sandton Central for the highly anticipated Johannesburg Pride event on October 29.

The 33rd edition of the event returned to Sandton after a two-year hiatus as a result of the pandemic.

This was despite the looming ‘terror’ threat announced by the U. S. Embassy on Wednesday, October 26.
