“It’s fantastic to have DP World as a partner. We’ve obviously had Imperial in the past, but to have an iconic brand in the global supermarket at our stadium is momentous for cricket as a whole. Out of our partnership, we are aiming to keep winning our games and hopefully continue growing as a sport.”

DP Worlds’ board member, His Excellency Mahash Saeed AlHameli added that it was a no-brainer for the global brand to partner with Wanderers Stadium and cricket.

“DP World backing Wanderers is a good initiative and sports unite people and we are happy to be investing in South Africa through sports. This investment came about because the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and South Africa already have a strong business relationship since 1994.”

Fourie added, “With DP World coming on board and supporting us is encouraging, we also come forth more professionally. Two years ago, when Imperial came on board, I challenged more companies to support more women athletes and I hope with DP World stepping up, more companies will follow suit.”
