City kicks off Transport Month with construction of Sandton bus station
The City’s Johannesburg Development Agency will commence construction on the Sandton Bus Rapid Transport (BRT) stations between Sandton Drive and Katherine Street.
All eyes are on Sandton as the City of Joburg kicks off Tourism Month this October with the construction of the Sandton Bus Rapid Transport (BRT) station.
Implemented by the Johannesburg Development Agency (JDA) on behalf of the City of Johannesburg, the station will be located between Sandton Drive and Katherine Street.

“It will involve the relocation of existing services, widening roadworks and a median station building when the roadworks have been advanced,” said the JDA’s Kenneth Nxumalo.
The overall project is earmarked for 15 months.
“Further communication will be issued to update affected parties in the public on the project progress and issues encountered,” said Nxumalo.
