Sandton Ladies Circle community organisation honoured
The Sandton Ladies Circle 24 was recently recognised for its continued commitment to the community with the Circle of the Year Award for 2021/2022.
The community outreach group Sandton Ladies Circle 24 was recently recognised for its continued commitment to Sandton and surrounding communities.
The women were honoured with the Circle of the Year Award for 2021/2022.
According to the previous chairlady Susan de Kock, being part of the ladies’ circle was an amazing opportunity to form friendships and give back to the community. The Sandton Ladies Circle is a group of Sandton residents between 18 and 45 who spearhead several community and fundraising projects each year.
“We are very proud and grateful that our efforts were recognised. We are looking forward to the new year ahead and under a new leadership team with Amanda Yelland as our new chairlady, we are excited to see the impact we can make this year coming.”

De Kock noted some of the highlights from the 2021/2022 year which included delivering toiletry packs to 25 women at the Frida Hartley Shelter in Yeoville.
“We also supported Doorway to Dignity throughout the year with Jars of Hope. Our highlights are these partnerships, supporting these amazing organisations.”
This year, the circle will be supporting the Frida Hartley Shelter once again with its Bake for a Babe fundraiser.

The campaign encourages community members to bake delicious goods, sell the goodies to their network and donate the funds to the Sandton Ladies Circle. All of the funds raised will go towards the shelter.
