The great attack of the flash mob in Sandton
Stroll down memory lane with an organised flash mob at the Gautrain Sandton Station left locals cheerful.
Sometimes waiting for the next train can be agonising, but for a few Gautrain travellers based in Sandton, waiting was not an issue as they were entertained by a collective of dancers busting a move on August 29.
Just outside of the station, an individual who presented himself as a businessman kick-started the flash mob trend with a solo performance of Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson’s song, Uptown Funk. As the music progressed, more dancers popped up from nowhere which made the atmosphere just the merrier.
The tone changed as the music transitioned to Michael Jackson’s song, Beat it. A fully-fledged flash mob took on the centre showing travellers that dancing can cure anything.
Dancers brought it back home as they concluded with Jerusalem produced by Master KG. Most of the travellers and bystanders who knew the viral dance steps of the song joined in on the fun.
