Honeydew police arrest 68 in a week

The arrests were for mostly non-violent crimes this week.

Officers at Honeydew Police Station have arrested 68 people this past week.

Spokesperson Captain Balan Muthan said the arrests were made between July 5 and 11.

“All these suspects have been arrested in the Honeydew policing area for crimes ranging from theft, house robbery, housebreaking, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, robbery and other crimes,” Muthan said.

“These suspects will appear in the two courts that service the Honeydew policing area, which is Roodepoort and Randburg [magistrates’ courts].”

Muthan urged residents to report crimes that have been committed, as well as any information they may have about incidents.
