Brescia House hopes to heal

The Teddy Bear Foundation’s Dalene Bishop noted that the evening was a great success with a packed audience and uplifting atmosphere.

The learners at Brescia House School recently teamed up with the Teddy Bear Foundation to host its Our Voices Help Heal concert.

Musicians and choir learners from the school used the power of their voices to entertain and delight audiences on April 6 at the Bryanston-based school.

According to the head of counselling and community outreach, Liz Norman, the school’s marimba band and guitar ensemble added a special touch to the event. The concert also hosted a special guest LeAnne Dlamini who joined the high school choir for one of their songs.

Brescia House School has a long-standing relationship with the Teddy Bear Foundation and we value the work they do in terms of protecting and defending the rights of abused and vulnerable children,” said Norman.

“The learners have opened their hearts and lifted their voices to help ensure that the Teddy Bear Foundation can continue providing services to abused children and their families.”

Teddy Bear Foundation’s Dalene Bishop noted that the evening was a great success with a packed audience and uplifting atmosphere.

“We had such a lovely evening and the girls’ voices are like tonic to the soul,” said Bishop.
