Carnival returns to Lycée Jules Verne
MORNINGSIDE – With the Bambanani Brass Band leading the way, the learners, parents and teachers took to the streets around the school in a parade.
The Lycée Jules Verne campus in Morningside came alive with bright colours and camaraderie as it celebrated its annual carnival on February 25.
As part of a long-standing tradition at the school to mark the start of the mid-term break, the staff and learners from the primary and high school came dressed to impress in their themed outfits.

At the pre-primary school, each class embraced a theme, such as Alice in Wonderland, while a few of the teachers from the high school channelled their inner Viking.

With the Bambanani Brass Band leading the way, the learners, parents and teachers took to the streets around the school in a parade.

Concluding on the main field, the learners enjoyed a set by the band before they were off to enjoy their mid-term break.
