Parents donate blood at preschool
BRYANSTON – Not only did the parents and guardians show their solidarity during the blood drive but the staff members of Little Ashford Bryanston took their time off to join in on the fun
Parents of Little Ashford Bryanston learners and staff waited with anticipation to donate blood on February 18 at the preschool.
Officials of the South African National Blood Service (Sanbs) and staff members of Little Ashford easily convinced parents to donate blood.
Christine Smith, principal of the preschool was grateful to witness the selfless act of donating blood. “Doing this for the community and getting involved is the main reason why we are all here today. Truth be told, I am worried that I might get dizzy afterwards but someone out there needs my blood.”
Nathalie-Jane Ho, one of the parents who had donated blood said, “It always feels satisfying to be a part of something bigger and that’s why I always do it whenever I get the chance to. In the end, we are all connected.”
