Words from Parkmore Community Association (PCA) on how to support your community

SANDTON – There are numerous ways in which individuals can show their support in their community.

As everyone knows, January is a phase known as the ‘back-to-life’ or the reality phase. This is where little means a lot especially when it comes to spending and saving money.

Communities are an extension of people who are caught up in reality and try very hard to make ends meet. Displaying any level of support within your community is supporting yourself in the long run.

There are numerous ways in which a person can show their support. Lori Klein of the Parkmore Community Association (PCA) took the time to inform the public on various ways to support their community.

“There must be a give and take from both sides [residents and entities that fall within the community]. Services such as convenient stores, food markets, businesses and places that offer leisure activities around the community, are key places where residents can show their support: It can be done by either purchasing products or through the participation of an event. It serves the great purpose of promoting development in the area. The PCA has and will be behind its corporate members and general service providers. Without the residents, businesses wouldn’t be surviving, this will most likely cause a shift or domino effect in the structure of the community,” said Klein.

An easier approach would be to communicate with your community or resident association manager or chairperson and get to know how you can assist your community.
