Crawford junior councillors rally for a good cause

BENMORE – The learners collected 1 274 sandwiches, a trolley full of blankets, grocery hampers, tinned food and maize.

Crawford International Sandton’s Johannesburg Junior Council representatives Chi-Chi Juan and Dina Tchelet hosted a successful sandwich drive on December 5 in Norwood.

The Grade 10 learners sent out an appeal to the Crawford Sandton community to donate any sandwiches, blankets and non-perishable food items.

According to the school, the girls were able to collect 1 274 sandwiches, a trolley full of blankets, grocery hampers, tinned food and maize.

The sandwiches and goods were donated to those less fortunate in Alexandra.

“Dina and Chi-Chi had their hands full sorting, packing, accepting and collecting the sandwiches and goods in Norwood. Thank you to our Crawford community for supporting this worthwhile cause.”
