Sandton ladies remain committed

SANDTON – The Sandton Ladies Circle look forward to celebrate many more years of community service.

It has been two years of dedication to the community for Sandton Ladies Circle 24.

Members of the local community organisation commemorated their second anniversary on November 9 at Higher Ground Restaurant with a reflection on just how much they have been able to achieve over the two-year period.

According to vice-chairperson Amanda Yelland, the members have been able to grow their projects and fundraisers to support more causes close to their hearts.

“Our fundraisers helped us to make soup for the homeless in winter and more recently supply much-needed necessities for women who escaped abusive relationships, to name a few,” she said.

The organisation had also been able to strengthen its relationships with non-profit organisations and partnerships to reach more people and animals that were in need of a helping hand.

“We came to realise that our objectives – to be of service to our community and to promote and extend friendship – go hand in hand and that we cannot realise the one without the other.

“As we reflect on two years of service and the valuable friendships we have formed, we invite ladies who are passionate about giving back and helping those in need to get in touch and join us on our rewarding journey.”

The women look forward to celebrate many more years of community service.

“We are hoping to make this a yearly celebration and to make it a tradition to go to Higher Ground, for as long as the ladies still want to do so, this is how traditions are started, every circle has their own, and this is becoming ours, how wonderful,” said chairlady Susan de Kock.
