Joburg north suburbs affected by 54-hour water outage

Rand Water announced that there will be a 54-hour planned water outage from 5:00 November 15 in various suburbs across the city.

The water supplier will be working on a raw water pipe that supplies its Vereeniging water purification plant.

“This will unfortunately impact on water supply from the Rand Water Eikenhof pump station to the South of Johannesburg, Northern and Western areas as supply will be reduced by 25%.”

According to Rand Water, water supply reduction will result in poor to no water supply during peak water demand periods in more high laying and high demand areas.

“Stationery and roaming water tankers will be made available where feasible to reduce the impact to consumers.”

The following suburbs in and around Johannesburg north will be affected:

· Farevale

· Orchards

· Sydenham
