Central Gauteng Lions partner for good

ILLOVO – According to FeedSA’s Roxy Priebatsch partnerships such as these extremely important during this difficult time.

The community continues to come together to reach those in need during this difficult time.

Central Gauteng Lions (CGL) recently partnered with non-profit organisation FeedSA to pack more than 2 500 relief hampers to assist communities affected by the pandemic.

Players, staff, coaches, umpires and the grounds staff at Imperial Wanderers Stadium spent the afternoon packing personal hygiene and sanitation hampers.

According to FeedSA’s Roxy Priebatsch, partnerships such as these were extremely important during this unpredictable time and everyone involved wholeheartedly gave their commitment and best effort.

“We are thrilled to partner this year again with CGL to pack and distribute these hampers in honour of Mandela Month. It was an incredible day filled with lots of hard work and dedication and we are extremely grateful to all who participated,” said Priebatsch.

CGL’s marketing and communications manager Wanele Mngomezulu noted that the past 18 months had without a doubt been challenging for everyone which was why the sight of dozens of people coming together for this initiative warmed his heart.

“It was our honour to partner with you [FeedSA] on a job well done today. The day was also used to celebrate International Friendship Day, a movement that started back in 1930 to bring people together,” he said.
