Joburg Water announces water challenges affecting Sandton, Midrand and surrounds

JOBURG – The city entity will communicate more information once it becomes available.

Johannesburg Water has announced that it is currently experiencing issues with regards to the pumping of water at its reservoirs.

According to Johannesburg Water spokesperson Nondumiso Mabuza on July 5, due to pumping challenges, some of its reservoirs and towers are running dry.

“The Sandton and Midrand areas are currently affected.”

Mabuza added that it is however anticipated that other areas will soon also be affected.

The city entity will communicate more information once it becomes available.
