Two vehicles catch fire following a collision in Fourways

SANDTON – The driver of the other vehicle escaped injury.

Netcare 911 responded to a collision on the corner fo Kingfisher and William Nicol Drive at 11.16pm on 7 November in Fourways, Sandton.

Shawn Herbst from the communication’s office of  Netcare 911 said, “Reports from the scene indicate that two vehicles were involved in a collision resulting in both vehicles catching alight.”

Herbst explained that medics assessed the scene and found that an adult male and adult female including an 11-month-old baby had sustained minor injuries.

“The driver of the other vehicle escaped injury. All three patients were treated on the scene and once stabilised were transported by private ambulance services to hospital for further treatment,” said Herbst.

The Fire and Rescue Services extinguished the fire.
