JRA’s war on potholes continues in Region E

SANDTON – In Region E all focus will be on repairing potholes, with emphasis on wards 32, 71, 73, 81 and 116.

The City of Johannesburg, together with the Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA), relaunched its War on Potholes campaign in Region E on 8 September at its Customer Service Centre in Sandton.

Spearheaded by the MMC of Transport Nonhlanhla Makhuba, the campaign aims to address the backlog of road defects in all seven regions across the City.

Week three of the service delivery blitz will turn a spot light on Region E.

According to the MMC, the focus in the region will be the repairing of potholes, with emphasis on wards 32, 71, 73, 81 and 116.

In the last week of August the roads entity has repaired 542 potholes in the region, which included suburbs such as Alexandra, Far East Bank, Glenhazel, Kew and Cheltondale.
