Less than 50 per cent of Covid-19 cases in Joburg’s Region B remain active
JOBURG – Suburbs in Region B include Randburg, Rosebank, Emmarentia, Greenside, Melville, Mayfair, Northcliff, Parktown and Parktown North.

The Gauteng Department of Health has confirmed that Johannesburg’s northern suburbs of Region B recorded 6 339 cases of Covid-19 as of 19 July.
The region, which includes Randburg, Rosebank, Emmarentia, Greenside, Melville, Mayfair, Northcliff, Parktown and Parktown North, also recorded 3 698 recoveries.
Also in the northern suburbs, Region E recorded 9 691 total cases and 4 450 recoveries.
Suburbs in Region E include Alexandra, Wynberg, Sandton, Orange Grove and Houghton.
The Johannesburg district has recorded 58 301 total cases, an increase of 1 859 cases, and 32 670 recoveries while 374 people have lost their lives to the novel virus.
A total of 358 cases and 84 recoveries in the district remain unallocated.
