Region E records 101 active cases of Covid-19

JOBURG – Region E includes Alexandra, Wynberg, Sandton, Orange Grove and Houghton.

The Gauteng Department of Health 4 June confirmed that Covid-19 cases in Johannesburg sit at 2 175 as of 3 June.

While this translates to an increase of 159 cases, the city has recorded 1 273 recoveries and 15 deaths.

The number of unallocated cases stands at 133 with 85 recoveries.

Johannesburg’s northern suburbs of regions B and E have remained at the epicentre of the virus outbreak in the city with a combined total of 720 cases.

Region B has recorded 325 cases and 183 recoveries while Region E has record 395 cases and 294 recoveries.

Region B includes Randburg, Rosebank, Emmarentia, Greenside, Melville, Mayfair, Northcliff, Parktown and Parktown North.

Region E includes Alexandra, Wynberg, Sandton, Orange Grove and Houghton.
