Earn bookshop credit with the Reea Foundation

CRAIGHALL PARK – Donate to the Reea Foundation and receive bookshop credit that you can redeem at the Reea Charity Bookshop after the lockdown.

The Reea Charity Bookshop has launched an appeal for the community to earn bookshop credit which will help fund the Reea Hostel.

According to volunteer Lesley Anderson the ladies at the Craighall Park bookshop are worried that the hostel may not receive adequate funding this month.

“All the monies collected at the bookshop from selling our books go directly towards the running costs of the Hostel,” she said.

The hostel offers 24-hour nursing care and three meals day which are the bare necessities for the residents who have been on lockdown for more than a month already.

“Given the vulnerable status of our residents, pre-emptive lockdown was instituted as soon as social distancing was announced early in March,” Anderson added.

The ladies have proposed that any donations to the Reea Foundation will receive a bookshop voucher to the value of the donation plus 10 per cent.

The credit can be redeemed for books when the shop reopens after the lockdown.

“For this to work, you will have to send a proof of payment from your bank, and also send us your e-mail address so that we can forward your voucher,” Anderson said.
