Bryanston model reaches new heights

BRYANSTON – Bryanston High School learner Bianca Venter struts into international waters following a win at the Figures National Student Model of the Year competition.

With a strut in her step, Bryanston High School learner Bianca Venter recently nabbed a first-place finish in the commercial division at the Figures National Student Model of the Year competition. The young and vibrant model will soon set sail to compete on international waters.

According to her father Jacques, Bianca was spotted at quite a young age where she did some work for a television and print campaign. “She started taking modelling more seriously after making the finals in a school competition sponsored by Figures Models Finesse International Bryanston branch,” he said.

After only joining the agency two years prior, Bianca entered into the Figures National Student Model of the Year competition where she placed first in the commercial division for her age group.

The main prize was a trip to the Aspiring International Model Convention hosted upon the MSC Orchestra cruise ship. The convention will take place over five days in March. Here, Bianca will interact with over 20 international modelling agents.

“The goal of the convention is for up-and-coming models to learn though training workshops presented by the international agents as well as hopefully be scouted and signed by one of the international agents,” Jacques added.

“Winning the Figures National Student Model of the Year competition could potentially open the door to a number of local and international opportunities. We are super proud and excited to see what the future holds for Bianca and her modelling career.”
