WATCH: Motorist robbed of belongings in Bryanston

BRYANSTON – The victim said that the suspects took cellphones, watches and a number of other items.

A motorist travelling along Bryanston Drive was robbed of cell phone and watches when he stopped his car in Tufnell Avenue around 1pm on 20 February.

Bryanston resident and eBlockwatch founder Andre Snyman shared a video of the incident on the Andre Snyman eBlockwatch Facebook page, saying that the driver stopped to help his daughter when a dummy fell out of her mouth.

The video depicts two armed men wearing hats, who get out of a Toyota, and hold the driver up using firearms before making away with a bag of belongings.

Snyman said that this was a random, opportunistic crime and not a follow-home incident.

The Sandton Chronicle spoke to the victim who said that a case has been opened with the police.

Spokesperson for the Sandton Police Station Captain Granville Meyer is still to respond to questions from the Sandton Chronicle.
