Herman Mashaba switches on street lights in Buccleuch

Buccleuch – City Power said that they allocated a R2 million budget for the execution of the Buccleuch public lighting switch-on.


The Executive Mayor of the City of Johannesburg, Herman Mashaba was joined by City Power CEO Lerato Setshedi and MMC for Environmental and Infrastructure Services, councillor Nico de Jager to officially turn on the newly installed street lights in Buccleuch.

City Power said that the Buccleugh streetlights project involves the installation of 113 street lights fitted with energy-efficient LED luminaires and stringing of aerial bundle conductor cables(ABC).

City Power said that they allocated an R2 million budget for the execution of the Buccleuch public lighting switch-on.

Mashaba said, “Continue demanding services from us. As you do remember there are people out there without electricity. There are people out there without toilets.”

      

“Whoever is going to be elected as the Executive Mayor on Thursday should continue on this strong foundation we have put in place and ensure the people of the City of Johannesburg receive services,” said Mashaba.
