Bryanston rugby stars set for provincial tournament

BRYANSTON – Bryanston Honey Badgers players set to represent Gauteng in the upcoming Inter-Provincial Tournament.


The newly formed rugby team, Bryanston Honey Badgers had two of their players selected to play in the upcoming rugby Inter-Provincial Tournament (IPT).

Jayden Wardle and Titan Botha were selected to play for the Golden Lions Youth team in the upcoming U14 tournament from 22 to 28 September.

The provincial showpiece takes place once a year with players chosen from 22 affiliated teams in Gauteng. This year’s tournament will be hosted by Golden Lions Youth Rugby.

The chairman at Bryanston Honey Badgers, Anthony Losco expressed his excitement. “As this is our first year as a club, we are ecstatic that we had two players selected. Jayden played in the IPT in 2018, but Titan Botha is new to club rugby.

“We wish the two boys the best of luck in the upcoming tournament and hope they make Gauteng proud.”
