Woman escapes hijacking in Sandton
EASTGATE – A collision on Bowling Avenue in Eastgate, Sandton was reported to Netcare on Thursday (30 May).
Netcare responded to a collision in Sandton, Eastgate on Bowling Avenue. The collision is said to have happened at 5.36pm Thursday afternoon (30 May).
“Reports from the scene alleged that an unknown number of men attempted to hijack a30-year-old female driving an SUV,” said Shawn Herbst from the communications office of Netcare 911.
Herbst added that the woman managed to escape but lost control, colliding with another car and knocking down a traffic light.
Herbst said that the woman escaped injury and declined ambulance transportation to the hospital.
