Andrea Bocelli set to wow (and woo) us

A once in a lifetime opportunity that's sure worth traveling for!

He’s sung for Popes, Presidents and royalty. He’s wowed at major international events – including the Olympic Games and the World Cup. He has a Golden Globe, 7 Classical BRITs and 7 World Music Awards under his belt, plus a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He’s performed in all the greatest concert halls and opera houses around the world, and now he’s going to perform here is SA.

The swooningly gorgeous Andrea Bocelli just confirmed his South African tour, and it’s going to be a once in a lifetime experience.  Backed by a full a full 140-piece symphony orchestra and choir (the Johannesburg Festival Orchestra and the Symphony Choir of Johannesburg in Jozi; the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir in Cape Town), the concert will be split into two parts. For the first, he’ll perform some of the most famous opera arias, while the second part will be dedicated to his most popular hit and crossover songs. A highlight will be when his 20-year-old son, Matteo Bocelli, joins him to perform the duet Fall On Me, a beautifully poignant song from his latest album which reflects the bond between parent and child.

The shows are on April 18 at Ticketpro Dome, and April 22 on the polo field at Val de Vie Estate, Paarl, with tickets and luxe hospitality packages (from R1140 to R4295 from Computicket and www.bigconcerts.co.za) going on sales on Friday January 25. Do. Not. Miss. This!
