Teresa Cook, the head of the English department at the school, said she was incredibly proud of the work the learners had put into their exams. “I’m very happy with the results, the kids did really nicely and our top learners have come out beautifully. I’m so proud of them.”

She added that it would be incredibly difficult to say goodbye to the learners and each year there is a sad goodbye for the teachers. “Every year you miss the ones that have matriculated before but it’s wonderful to see what they go on to do.”

*Note: It was previously reported that the school achieved 95 per cent pass rate but has since been corrected to 98 per cent
