Enjoy supper under the stars at the Moonlight Market from 20 November to 18 December

BRYANSTON – The markets will have a variety of goods on sale as well as entertainment for adults and children.

The Bryanston Organic Market will once again host their Moonlight Market this year. The market offers wholesome family entertainment that allows for an experience of wonder and excitement leading up to Christmas.

The Moonlight Markets will take place from 20 November to 18 December, each Tuesday evening from 5pm to 9pm.

A Children’s Theatre takes centre stage from 5pm to 7pm each evening, with a Jesting Juggler, Cappy’s Magic Show, Carols by Candlelight and a Bedtime Story Puppet Show to captivate and enchant the children.

Meanwhile, adults will be entertained by a selection of musicians and buskers flowing through the market throughout the evening. Lit up by the sparkle of festive lights, the market is transformed into a joyful and magical experience.

A tempting array of handcrafted Christmas gifts, decorations and festive foods will be on offer. Many of the Bryanston Organic Market’s regular stallholders will also be displaying their goods.

A collection of children’s side shows will offer a variety of entertainment such as face painting, cupcake decorating, Christmas card making, candle making, T-shirt painting, wooden toy painting and fairy and mystical creatures craft. Several activities are offered free of charge with others at a nominal charge.

There will also be the Happiest Smile Campaign hosted by the Happy People Entertainment and Development Foundation.

Its aim is to create a festive buzz, promote social cohesion, celebrate and embrace many diverse cultures through smiles. The competition runs for the duration of the Moonlight Markets with weekly finalists being voted by members of the public and announced in the market each Saturday.

People are welcome to enter as an individual or in family groups under different categories with great prizes to be won.

A percentage of the proceeds will be used to uplift children and community members who come from less privileged backgrounds.

Loads of delicious snacks, meals and desserts will be on offer to tempt you to enjoy supper under the stars to the accompaniment of great music.

The market is hosted at 40 Culross Road, Bryanston. There is an entrance fee of R20 per adult with children under 12 entering free.
