Le Diner En Blanc set to be a calendar highlight

If you love a fun, a food and wine filled evening, in a secret location and a great excuse to dress up, then you will love Le Diner En Blanc – which will be returning to Joburg in all it’s glory on Saturday 29th September and is set to be an exceptional gastronomic experience like no other.

Over 30 years Le Diner En Blanc has been celebrated around the world and started in Paris in 1988 by François Pasquier and a handful of friends, Le Dîner en Blanc has become a worldwide epicurean phenomenon.

What was a “friends and word-of-mouth only” event has grown into an international sensation celebrated on six continents. Guests gather at a secret location in order to share a gourmet meal with good friends in one of their city’s most beautiful public spaces.

Michelin trained Chef Wandile Mabaso is set to produce some amazingly delicious food and will no doubt take this fine dining event to new heights. Say’s Wandile – “Diner En Blanc gives a wide scale access to French food cooked at the highest level, rather than the elite few that can afford it.”

The wine partner is award winning Stellenbosch producer, The Idiom Collection, a Sommeliers Selection favourite, with wines such as the iconic Idiom Cape Blend and The Idiom SMV being the stars. The preferred sparkling mineral waters around the world, S Pellegrino and Acqua Panna, will also join the party.

The Gautrain will provide transportation from Midrand, Sandton, Rosebank and park Station and will supply the last leg to the secret venue by bus.
