Heading in to it’s third year – the tradition of beautiful cars, fashion and people will be gathering once again for the highly anticipated Concours D’Elegance at Steyn City from the 10th to the 12th of August.
Enthusiasts will gather to the largest parkland residence in the country to witness a ‘competition of elegance’ where some of the country’s most beautifully restored vehicles will be on display.
The weekend’s proceedings will commence on Friday 10 August with the induction, at a special ceremony, to the South African Hall of Fame of the legendary local F1 designer Rory Byrne.
Another highlight of the weekend is the Concours South Africa Auction, supported by Coys of London, an auction house specializing in classic exotic racing cars and motorcycles, will take place on day one of the Concours; this being the first International Classic Car Auction to be held in South Africa with all proceeds going to charity.
Numerous car aficionados will enter their vintage, classic and collectable automobiles into a competition which judges will evaluate on rarity, presentation, originality, maintenance and technical merit with cars dating back as far as 1928.
The overall winning car of Concours South Africa 2018 will be announced on Sunday, 12 August, after the judges have made their final decision.
Public Tickets start at R 575.00 per guest with a variety of hospitality packages available too.
