The Grade 6 children at Crawford College Sandton recently had a learning experience when their ‘classroom’ took on a different look.
Dressed in their house colours, Barrett, Cameron and Ladson, they set off on an exciting day of exploration and discovery. The ‘new-look’ classrooms were at the new Discovery building in Sandton where the group was welcomed by Dr Ryan Noach of Discovery.

They had an interactive, fun time learning about the unique design of the building, which highlighted sustainable development. They made a health muffin in the Healthy Food Studio and then played a few sports.
While on the roof of the building, they identified important landmarks in and around Sandton.
Shirley Gray, a Grade 6 teacher, said it was a privilege for the Grade 6s to learn and be exposed to such a wealth of information in this dynamic environment.

“Thank you Discovery for hosting such a memorable day and to Dr Noach, in particular, for encouraging our students to ‘dream big’ and commit to being a force for social good,” said Gray.
