Fun at Sandton Antique Fair

SANDTON – The serious antique collector was in for a treat at the Sandton Antique Fair.

The Sandton Antique Fair was recently hosted at the Nelson Mandela Square with more than 50 dealers from across the country exhibiting collector’s items.

The fair has been running for 28 years, and 12 years ago it moved to Nelson Mandela Square and has become the destination for the ‘tourist collector’.

The fair takes place on the first Sunday of every month and people flock to the event to find a hidden gem. It features a wide variety of antique items such as jewellery, perfume bottles, dinnerware, silverware, vases and figurines and also vintage accessories from Victorian, Art Deco to Retro.

The prices range from a few hundred to tens of thousands of rand.
