Police nab three suspects in Wendywood

SANDTON – The Sandton police recently arrested three suspects when an unlicensed firearm in a hijacking hotspot.

The Sandton Police Crime Combatting Unit recently arrested three suspects in Wendywood when they were found behaving suspiciously at a hijacking hotspot.

According to Brigadier Egen Moodley, station commander of Sandton Police Station, the suspects were stopped and searched by the police. “One of the suspects was found with an unlicensed firearm,” he said.

“All three suspects were arrested and are being profiled for linkages to hijackings and robberies in the Sandton and surrounding areas.”
