Schoolchildren and staff at Lycée Jules Verne pass Cambridge qualifications

MORNINGSIDE – More than 200 schoolchildren took the Cambridge international qualification.

Schoolchildren and a few staff members of Lycée Jules Verne School have passed their Cambridge qualifications.

On 10 and 17 March, 205 schoolchildren and five staff of the school wrote the exams.

Emmanuelle Marqui, the new principal at the school, organised for the exams to take place. English language teachers, supervisors, administrative services, maintenance, computer and communication staff all got involved to help prepare for the tests.

Maloba Mbuya, coordinator of International House, Cambridge Centre said the quality of the school and the impressive level of the schoolchildren were remarkable.

Stéphane Pollack and Philip Sewell, in charge of educational coordination at the school, pointed out that language certifications were not only at the heart of the Lycée Jules Verne policy but were also part of the priorities of the French Agency for French Teaching Abroad, which included 492 French high schools in the world.
