Fatal motorbike crash before the Woodmead R55 Bridge
WOODMEAD – The exact circumstances surrounding the accident is not yet known.
Shortly after 3pm on Saturday, 3 February, Netcare 911 responded to an accident involving a motorbike before the Woodmead R55 Bridge. On arrival, Netcare 911 paramedics attended to a 30-year-old male but unfortunately, he sustained fatal injuries and he was declared dead at the scene.
The exact circumstances surrounding the accident is not yet known but reports allege that the driver lost control of his motorcycle, hitting the barrier and was thrown off his bike, which was found about 400m down the road at the Buccleuch split.
Metro police were on scene investigating.
