Experience triumphs over youth in Bryanston Sports Club’s squash club championships final

BRYANSTON – The Bryanston Sports Club recently held their squash club championships.

The Bryanston Sports Club held its squash club championships final on 21 October.

Contesting the final were the experienced 44-year-old Brendan Paul who has played in the final once before, and 22-year-old newcomer, Neil Cross.

Cross is well known to have the energy to run for everything and hits the ball harder than most. On the other hand, Paul is called ‘The Master’, for his guile and deft touch.

In the end, experience triumphed over youth and Paul won the match 11–6, 11–4 and 11–7.

The club’s Clive Williams said it was exciting to see these strong, enthusiastic players showing their skills. “We have a great future to look forward to in squash at Bryanston Sports Club,” he said.
