VIDEO: Four unlikely heroes save a woman from drowning in Sand River

The recent rainstorm that swept through Johannesburg left a trail of destruction across the city and severely affected parts of Sandton.

Despite all the devastation caused by the storm, every cloud has a silver lining. Four employees of Rad Moto, based in Rivonia, became unlikely heroes when they saved a woman from potentially drowning in the flooded Sand River on 9 October.

Dominic Ritchie, Moses Thathani, Givemore Ntombo and Promise Mudau braved the raging waters of the Sand River, putting their own lives at risk to save a complete stranger who was stranded in the middle of the Witkoppen low-level bridge.
