Man seriously injured in four-vehicle collision on N1 at Rivonia Rd offramp
One man, believed to be in his 20s, had sustained a serious injury to one of his arms, ER24 paramedics said.
A man, believed to be in his 20s, was left seriously injured on Saturday morning (23 September) following a four-vehicle collision on the N1 highway at the Rivonia offramp in Johannesburg.
In a statement, ER24 said their paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene and found the four vehicles in the fast lane of the highway. Several drivers and passengers were found either seated in the vehicles or walking around on the scene.
Paramedics assessed the patients and found that one man, believed to be in his 20s, had sustained a serious injury to one of his arms.
The man was treated for his injuries and provided with pain-relief medication by advanced life support paramedics before he was transported to a nearby private hospital for further treatment.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
