Blood donors come forward in corporate world
SANDTON – SANBS has received corporate support from Firewater in the form of blood donations.
Firewater team members Ian Schwikkard, Evan Kotton, Mpho Nkambule and Gareth van Vollenstee donated blood to the South African National Blood Service on 19 September.
The Sandton-based digital marketing and public relations agency team made their donation at Firewater’s new offices at Country Club Estate in Woodmead after hearing that the service was running out of stock.
On 9 September, the service released a statement letting the country know that blood supply in the country was at just 1.8 days of Group O stock, equating to less than 2 000 units. The statement urged donors to urgently come forward.
The Firewater team took the service’s call to action to heart and was rallied up to make their donations.
