SANDTON – The Sandton police have released a six-step protocol to follow when reporting complaints.

 

The Sandton police released a six-step protocol for reporting complaints to the police station.

Lieutenant Colonel Manogran Pillay from the Sandton Police Station said the six steps are applicable in the Sandton policing area only.

  • The first step is to contact the respective sector vehicles for any type of complaint.

Sector 1: Edenburg, Galo Manor, Khyber Rock, Rivonia, Sunninghill, Woodlands, Woodmead – 071 675 6093 or 071 675 6094.

Sector 2: Brecknock, Bryanston, Klevehill Park, Lonehill, Paulshof, Petervale, Rietfontein, Riverclub – 071 675 6095 or 071 675 6096.

Sector 3: Benmore Gardens, Dalecross, Duxberry, Hurlpark, Little Fillan, Moodie Hill, Morningside, Morningside Manor, Morningside Ext 40, New Brighton, Parkmore, Sandown, Sandhurst, Strathhavon, Sunset Acres – 071 675 6100 or 071 675 6101.

Sector 4: Buccleuch, Eastgate, Kelvin, Kramerville, Marlboro North, Wendywood, Wesco Park – 071 675 6106 or 071 675 6107.

  • The second step for any serious complaints in progress must always be communicated via 10111 if for any reason the sector cellphones are not answered.
  • Thirdly, the relief commander can be contacted on 082 371 6504 if the sector vehicle does not answer.
  • The fourth step is to call a station duty officer who is on call 24/7 on 082 304 9562 if the relief commander does not answer.
  • Step five for all general enquiries for sector policing, general concerns or complaints can be communicated to the relevant sector manager during office hours.
  • The final step is to contact the Vispol commander, detective commander and station commander only after the above procedures were done and absolutely no service or assistance was rendered.

Anthony Modena, chairperson for the Sandton CPF added that it is important for the community to give a clear address and nearest corners when requesting assistance. “Take note of registration number, colour, make and model and clearly describe suspect clothing and features.”
