Working Mothers Expo coming up

SANDTON – The first Working Mothers Expo will take place at the Sandton Convention Centre from 4 to 6 November.

The first Working Mothers Expo in South Africa will be held at the Sandton Convention Centre from 4 to 6 November with support from MiWayLife.

MiWayLife believes that working mothers play an extremely important role in the family and more can be done to develop and support them through relevant, targeted products and services.

Craig Baker, chief executive officer of MiWayLife said, “We believe that, despite the shifts towards women taking the lead in important purchasing decisions, they remain under-represented as a group, and therein lies an opportunity to find out what they want and need so that we can create products to address their particular challenges and aspirations.”

Every exhibitor at the expo will be hand-selected for their specific relevance across various topics including business, career opportunities, personal development and financial health.

The event will focus on offering working mothers access to products and services they require to make their lives work in an environment conducive to relaxation and self-care.

Janice Windt, managing director of the Working Mothers Expo said, “The idea for the… [expo] evolved out of the challenges I personally experienced as a working mom and also from the experiences I was privileged enough to learn about when I interviewed more than 100 women from 17 countries around the world for my blog.

“As I started speaking to other working mothers I realised that many of us struggle with similar things. It’s a real privilege to be able to reach thousands of working mothers through the avenue of the Working Mothers Expo. I’m very grateful.”

Baker added, “Our intention is to work together with Janice and her team to develop this into a significant and meaningful event on the calendar of working mothers and mothers in general.”
